Tonight I met up with a few of my friends for some summer fun at a Single Adult Activity held at the This Is The Place park. Due to some unforseen construction, we were a bit late and missed out on the Speed Dating. Mandy was very disappointed, but able to get a nice view from the outside window.
The best part of the evening was the train rides. We had so much fun the first time around, we had to go again. The second time we were able to get on just before the sunset, so we had quite a beautiful view of the valley. We were also privleged enough to ride in the front car. We had hoped to do a bit of flirting with the driver, but he was slightly out of our league.
Overall, it was an entertaining evening, and I suppose it was worth the $12 we paid to get in, but I'm afraid we didn't mingle much or meet anyone....unless you count the guy who was trying to get us to check out some website. But I feel good knowing that now I can go forward and say..... "at least I tried."
