Three Thumbs Up!I have seriously been anticipating this movie every since it was announced and it was well worth the wait. For the past several weeks I have been listening to Abba in anticipation for the big day and it was so much fun seeing all of the songs put to a storyline. Last year I went and saw Mama Mia at the Capitol Theater, and loved it, but the movie was Awesome! There's just something about it being up close and personal.
I was first introduced to Abba back in 1994 when I moved up to Utah State. One of my roommates absolutely loved them and I must admit, since then, I have also grown to highly enjoy their music. One of my favorite songs has always been "Dancing Queen."
It was a little weird at first to see some of the characters break out in song, (like Pierce Brosnan/Remington Steele and Julie Walters/Mrs. Weasley) but after awhile I got used to it. By the end of the movie my cheeks were sore from smiling so much.
Now I am really looking forward to the movie coming out on DVD so that I can sing along at the top of my lungs. I didn't want to embarrass my friend Lesli in the theater so I did all I could to hold it in. I highly recommend this movie, especially if you like musicals. Now if they would only get to work on Footloose! Oh, and yes...I am highly anticipating High School Musical 3 in October!!
