Back to the lands of GREEN!

For the past two and a half weeks, I have been to three different countries of GREEN: Scotland, Northern Ireland and Ireland. I had a fabulous time visiting the sights, taking pictures, visiting friends, eating yummy foods (especially the chocolate) and shopping.
The first 10 days were spent in Scotland with my good friend Ali. We spent time in Falkirk, Edinburgh, Inverness, Tain, and Sterling.

The highlight of our trip was staying in a haunted castle. We were upgraded to the Tower Suite and it was seriously SWEET!

Then Ali and I parted ways. She headed back home to Salt Lake and I headed on over to Belfast, Northern Ireland, where I joined my friend Charity, and her new husband, Adam.

We spent some time shopping in the city center and then spent an afternoon at the Carrickfergus Castle.

Then on Friday night, we had the reception party, which turned out really nice. We had lots of yummy food and enjoyed the evening dancing the night away.

Then Charity and I parted ways and I joined up with a few of her friends who also came over for the reception, and I spent the next several days touring all over Ireland. We first headed up north and saw some really amazingly beautiful sights.

The Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge

The remaining portion of our trip was spent all over Ireland. We spent a day in Dublin and then headed to the West, which is somewhere I really wanted to visit last year, but was unable to make it there. I am so glad that we were able to see so much while in Ireland.

Glendalough

The Cliffs of Moher

The Blarney Castle

One of the evenings was spent at the Bunratty Castle, where we enjoyed a medieval dinner and show.

This truly was an amazing vacation and I feel so lucky to have been able to go. It was a dream come true and I had so much fun. I will admit, it felt like I was gone forever and I am now happy to be back home.
