Rolling Into New Traditions

I always thought that traditions were something you could count on year to year, but I am learning that the older I get, the more changes start occurring, and many traditions are beginning to die off. Up until two years ago, Christmas Day meant gathering with my mom's side of the family (the Nance's) for a big Christmas Feast at my grandparent's church house. But now that my grandparent's have passed on and my extended family is growing, that tradition has come to an end. Last year we met at The Golden Corral a few weeks before Christmas. This year, we gathered at Classic Rollerskating.

I was exhausted from working so much, so I didn't really participate much, other than eating the pizza and taking lots of pictures.

I suppose change is good and new traditions will develop as the year's go by. It's just hard sometimes to let something go when it's been a part of your entire existence. Nevertheless, I'm sure I will survive.
