"Woa Is Me!"

This weekend was full of troubles and trials that had me nearly in tears on several occassions. First of all, on Friday night I met up with some friends at the Conference Center in hopes of seeing President Hinckley for one last time. After waiting outside in the freezing cold for nearly two hours, and then being told that it would be at least another hour outside and then about two more hours waiting in line inside, we decided to leave. I was already late for a Bachelorette / Bridal Shower for my friend Kara, up in Bountiful, so I was anxious to get on my way.

After lots of yummy treats and watching the movie "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," I headed back on my way home, only I didn't get very far. About a mile onto the freeway, I found myself pulling over with a very flat tire. It was after 11:00 at night, I was still in a skirt, and I didn't have a single number on my cell phone (which was about to die any minute) of my friends whom I just left, so I found myself stranded. After calling my dad and having him call the Highway Patrol, I was saved by a nice lady cop who changed my tire for me. The next problem....my spare tire was real low and was in need of more air. So I had to drive to the next exit and find a gas station. It was not a happy night and was very slow driving. I got home just after midnight.

Then the worst thing ever was that on Sunday morning I went to go and take pictures of my dad clearing off the driveway, and in my haste, I fell down the cement stairs in the garage. As usual, I had my camera cinched to my wrist, but the force of my fall caused my arm to slam against the ground. For those of you who understand physics, you will understand what happened next. Soon after the arm slammed down, so did my camera. My heart was broken! My poor baby! Fortunatley the camera is still functional, however, now I have a few cracks in my LCD screen. This picture was taken after the fall, so you can see, it still works. Yeah!

Sometimes in life you just really need other people to feel sorry for you....so I hope you do!

I am sad for you. I was just thinking that I have never had a flat tire (knock on wood) and it is one of my biggest fears.
